What can tour operators learn from early post-COVID signals from Chinese travelers?

McKinsey did a survey of traveller sentiment to understand how different post-COVID-19 travel might be for the Chinese consumer and the indicators predict a shift towards self-guided, self-drive and small group tours.  This trend has been underway around the world well before COVID-19 and savvy tour operators were already focusing on providing their travelers with more flexible, small group or private experiences that allow travelers to customize or tailor the itinerary.   Expect this trend to continue and pick up speed when travel returns.
